Plot
Set in the 1970's in a South Korean orphanage, as one child awaits to be adopted.

- During the 11t Pusan Promotion Plan (which runs during the Pusan Int. Film Festival), "A Brand New Life" picked up the $10,000 OKF Fund award, which is presented by the Overseas Korean Foundation to fund a project from a Korean living overseas.
- Director Ounie Lecomte was born in South Korea but adopted as child by French parents. This movie is based partially on her experiences.
- "A Brand New Life" is produced by Now Film (South Korea) and Gloria Films (France) which is thought to be the first South Korean-French co-produced film.
